ADVISORY NOTICE – COVID-19 Proliferation – White House Report 8.16.2020
The White House issued a report on the current case data related COVID-19 in Nevada with recommendations to impose stricter restrictions for gathering with implications for certain types of businesses.
In the report, municipalities are grouped by zone based upon the rate of new infections. Red Zone municipalities are those with a high new infection rate and a stricter set of guidelines is suggested. Yellow Zone municipalities are those with an elevated infection rate and a more moderate, but restrictive set of guidelines are suggested.

Reno – Moved from Yellow to Red
Fallon – Moved from Unlisted to Red
Fernley – Moved from Unlisted to Yellow
Carson City – Moved from Yellow to Unlisted
No report is required. The Governor’s Office is advising that municipalities in the Red or Yellow Zones review the White House’s recommendations and implement any of the recommendations that will assist in containing the spread of COVID-19.

Yellow Zone Municipalities – Fernley
As a reminder, all municipalities have the discretion to require, mandate, impose, and enforce guidelines that are more restrictive than are required by the Governor’s Office.
